Metaverse-based trading card game NFT Duel will soon include limited-edition Astro Boy cards. The news came out after Tezuka Productions, J&J, and NOBORDER.z partnered with the local government of Tottori Prefecture in Japan.

This project aims to revitalize domestic tourism, which has been hit by COVID-19 and associated lockdowns. Part of the money raised from the sales will be donated to local industries. This is the first collaboration and will highlight Tottori Prefecture's food, culture, and scenic spots.

Astro Boy is not the first Tezuka character to get an NFT treatment. Last January, auctions for Black Jack and Phoenix NFTs were held in <a href="https://opensea.io/">OpenSea</a>.

The cards will be tradable on <a href="https://www.xanalia.com/">Xanalia</a>, a decentralized NFT marketplace that supports ETH, Polygon, and BSC.
