The <a href="https://tingbits.com/game/illuvium/">Illuvium</a> team has announced that the highly anticipated Illuvium: Overworld's Private Beta will be released on December 12 at 7 PM UTC. It will be available for both Windows and Mac computers. Furthermore, the team has recently released <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raffGmCZ0QM/">developer gameplay footage</a> of the upcoming game's mechanics and vibrant sci-fi worlds.

The beta registration for Illuvium is currently open. Players can gain access by registering on the Illuvium <a href="https://illuvium.io/">website</a>. Players who did not receive an invitation may receive one in the coming weeks, with more spots to be opened soon. 

In a series of tweets, the team also stated that Illuvium: Arena servers will be unavailable for four hours while the Overworld's Private Beta is being deployed. Players will not be able to access the game during this period.

Illuvium is an open-world exploration, NFT creature-collecting, and auto-battling P2E RPG built on the Ethereum blockchain. In Illuvium, players are immersed in a 3D open world to explore and capture alien beasts known as Illuvials. Once captured, Illuvials and other in-game items will exist in the player's wallet as NFTs. The game's open-world structure is similar to that of Pokémon.

Over 100 Illuvials with unique attributes and powers will be available to capture in the Overworld. Players can capture, upgrade, and fuse two Illuvials to create a new one. Players who have captured Illuvials and want to battle can enter a matchmaking queue in the Ranked Arena. They can also invite other players and challenge them to a fight in the Leviathan Arena, where spectators can bet on the match.

In addition to the main Illuvium game, there is Illuvium: Zero, which will be an extremely casual mobile game mode. Furthermore, Illuvium has its own online marketplace, the <a href="https://illuvidex.illuvium.io/">IlluviDex</a>, which allows players to buy, sell and trade their in-game NFTs, such as Illuvials, weapons, armor, skins, and other items.

Illuvium was founded by the Warwick brothers, Kieran and Aaron, in 2020. The team consists of over 75 people with experience in various fields, with Nate Wells, the game producer for Illuvium, being one of the prominent members. Wells has previously worked on blockbuster titles such as Bioshock, The Last of Us, and Rise of the Tomb Raider.
