Turner Sports, a part of WarnerMedia, is partnering with Immutable X to launch blockchain games and <a href="https://twitter.com/Immutable/status/1536711304567787520">collectibles for premier sports</a>. The giant media company broke the <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/now/turner-sports-committed-nfts-touts-140042037.html">news</a> on Tuesday, June 14. 
 
Home to Bleacher Report, TNT, and TBS, Turner Sports is one of the most well-known names in sports media. It operates some of the most popular sports properties in the world, including the NBA, NCAA March Madness, and PGA Championship. This recent development is not surprising as Turner Sports has been <a href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/blockchain-gaming-takes-a-colossal-step-forward-as-media-giant-announces-new-offering">branching into the web3 space</a> for a while now. 
 
In 2020, they unveiled their first online video gaming franchise built on Flow blockchain, <a href="https://www.onflow.org/post/partner-spotlight-blocklete-games">Blocklete Games</a>. This platform allows fans to "collect, train, trade and compete with unique digital athletes as they earn cash prizes and bragging rights along the way." In 2021, Bleacher Report, a part of Turner Sports, joined the NFT frenzy and sold <a href="https://sports.yahoo.com/b-r-first-nft-concept-105518736.html">nearly $1 million worth of collectible items</a>.
