The first-ever Philippine Web3 Festival was announced on September 28 by <a href="https://tingbits.com/post/ygg-digidaigaku/">Yield Guild Games</a>, the country's premier play-to-earn (P2E) gaming guild, and BlockchainSpace (BSPC), the guilds' data, collaboration, and financial hub. The festival will gather blockchain developers and gamers to share industry chronicles and forecasts.
 
The event will run from November 14-18 in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), a district of Metro Manila. Participating founders, developers, leaders, and even gamers from international NFT games and VC firms will gain insight into the Philippines' meteoric rise in the Web3 industry. 

Various speakers will present forecasts based on current Web3 developments in addition to flagship conferences, esports tournaments, hackathons, NFT exhibits, and other community-driven side events.
 
"We are inviting the world to see how and why the movement began here in the Philippines while bringing players, builders, and investors together IRL (in real life) to learn, network, and get real-time, community-based insights into the future direction of Web3," the <a href="https://www.phweb3festival.com/">Philippine Web3 Festival official website</a> reads. 
 
Some of the big shots in the NFT gaming space, such as <a href="https://tingbits.com/game/axie-infinity/">Axie Infinity's</a> Jeffrey Zirlin, Animoca Brands' Yat Siu, and <a href="https://tingbits.com/post/the-sandbox-alpha3/">The Sandbox's</a> Sebastian Borget, will be sharing their insights and success stories at the event.
 
Venture capital firms like Sequoia Capital, Dragonfly Capital, Mechanism Capital, Infinity Ventures Crypto (IVC), and Delphi Digital will be sending representatives to the event to talk about why they decided to invest in the Philippines to learn about Web3 trends.
 
Aside from them, the event will have co-presenters from GCash, MetaverseGo, and Globe Telecom. Globe Telecom is the event's official internet service provider and telecommunications partner company.
