The public game-centric blockchain, Oasys, announced its collaboration with the leading Ethereum software company, ConsenSys, on <a href="https://twitter.com/oasys_games/status/1539778017169313792">Twitter on June 23</a>.

Both Oasys and ConsenSys shared that they looked into the problem of gamers getting into the gaming ecosystem. According to their announcement, many gamers are discouraged because of the complexities in setting and linking these wallets to games. The two hope that their partnership will provide an on-point solution.

The collaboration entails the creation of a simpler system for blockchain games on the exchanges of digital assets. This means that it will be easier for gamers to set up and manage their digital wallets once the project is complete. Seamless network switching, automatic digital asset recognition, and simple imagery of transaction status and history are some of the main functions expected of the upcoming product.

Oasys revealed that one of ConsenSys’s products, MetaMask, will serve as the project’s basis. With more than 30 million monthly active users, the market considered the said product as the leader of its category. Consequently, Oasys will provide its expertise in the development of the gaming blockchain.

Countries in Asia, particularly Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, and India showed significant growth in users for MetaMask. Because of this, both parties also overlooked the possibility of supervising multiple blockchain games with the planned product.

Another blockchain game developer and non-fungible token (NFT) solution provider, doublejump.tokyo, will also take part in the blockchain development. Play-to-earn (P2E) gaming guild Yield Guild Games (YGG) also supports the project with a focus on the asset management and P2E gaming community.

doublejump.tokyo founder, Hironobu Ueno, and YGG founder, Gabby Dizon, are part of Oasys founding members.

Both Masa Kakiya, from ConsenSys, and Daiki Moriyama, from Oasys, agree that there are still some problems with the blockchain ecosystem. However, they both believe that a gamer-first approach will be good enough to meet the standards set by gamers themselves.

A month after its <a href="https://pixiongames.com/introducing-fableborne/">big reveal</a>, the London-based game studio Pixion Games finally released the gameplay teaser of its mobile-first F2P and play-to-own action RPG, <a href="https://tingbits.com/game/fableborne">Fableborne</a>, last June 22.

The <a href="https://fableborne.medium.com/gameplay-overview-99b96989cc10">teaser</a> showcased the combination of hack-n’-slash and base-building gameplay in a 90-degree camera view angle. The concept of Fableborne revolves in Shatterlands - where remnants of islands lie afloat. The players who enter the world become Fablebornes, people veiled from the mysteries brought about by a cataclysmic event. The main objectives for the gamers involve creating a battle-ready character, building up their entrusted islands, and discovering what the other islands hold.

During the quest to uncover the mysteries, each player will cross paths with the others. Player-vs-player (PvP) then takes place in a battle for island riches that are essential in upgrading characters and island infrastructures. The game also features player-vs-environment (PvE) that occurs through quests.

Last May, Pixion Games stated in a <a href="https://fableborne.medium.com/pixion-games-joining-avalanche-ecosystem-1bc057c6a706">blog post</a> that they planned to reward gamers for their time and effort. Blockchain technology emerged as the most viable solution for providing substantial rewards to gamers. This prompted a collaboration with Ava Labs to help in the integration of the game into the Avalanche (AVAX) blockchain platform.

Pixion Games wrote a blog post explaining why they chose Avalanche as the platform for their game. Avalanche is known for its speed and can handle a lot of user transactions quickly. The team thought it would be the best option to reach a wide audience with their game, Fableborne.

The development of the first phase for the game happened between the first and fourth quarter of 2021. It included product development, which spanned 18 months, and marketing planning. The team expects phase three to go around the third quarter of 2022. They look forward to finishing the project in the fourth quarter of 2022.

A play-to-earn battle-royale game, <a href="https://tingbits.com/game/gods-of-asgard">Gods of Asgard</a>, has launched its first playable demo. The game has received a positive response from gamers as of this writing. Although the full game won't be out until July, Asgardians are already hooked on the demo.

<h3>The Game</h3>

Gods of Asgard is a Norse mythology-themed P2E NFT game powered by Thor Financial on the Avalanche blockchain. Inspired by Elden Ring, GoA offers an immersive gaming experience to its players. The game is a Player-versus-Environment (PvE) battle royale game featuring 3D modeling graphics. It offers a unique combination of NFTs, decentralized finance (DeFi) and AAA gaming to all players.

In the vast open world of Midgard, the players, or rather Asgardians, will battle, survive, and earn. Asgardians will mint a God NFT, which will serve as their playable character in the game. Other than that, NFT owners can rent out their characters to aspiring new players with a profit-sharing scheme.
The primary goal of the game is to integrate the utility of NFTs as playable game characters while still allowing players to keep full control and ownership of their in-game assets and earn rewards for completing game tasks.

<h3>Gods of Asgard Mint</h3>

Gods of Asgard will include a dual token architecture, with $THOR and $ASG as the in-game native currency.
The primary currency awarded to players for their achievements in the game is $ASG, an ERC-20 token. Asgardians will be able to buy, sell, and trade the $ASG token on the Avalanche network's decentralized exchanges (DEX). Last May, $ASG was made available to the general public.
Moreover, the Gods of Asgard use the Thor token ($THOR) as a governance token. $THOR is an ERC-20 coin that cannot be acquired by playing GoA. Holders of $THOR will be able to vote in the game via snapshot voting. According to Thor Financial's post, they plan to add more features that use $THOR in the future to provide extra utility and reward players that excel in leaderboards and tournaments.
The number of $ASG tokens a player can earn per win is determined by his character and rarity level. Legendary (Gen 0) rarity is obtained through minting, while Common (Gen 1) rarity is obtained through summoning.
Legendary mint chances have been modified to the following to support the reward structure and economy, according to Thor's Financial page:

<h3>What were the reasons for Axie Infinity's drop?</h3>

Though once a successful crypto project, Axie Infinity is now seeing a decline in value. The SLP token is currently worth only 1.2 cents and has fallen by 3.09% in the past day. In addition, the number of people playing the game every day went from 2.7 million to less than one million on May 9, 2022.
 
To revive the flagging token's value and decreasing user base, Sky Mavis updated Axie Infinity’s economic model by making several changes to the game early this year. In an attempt to correct the imbalance in the supply and demand of SLP, Axie’s reward token, the company changed the rules for gaining SLP. For instance, gamers stopped earning SLP through Adventure Mode. Some speculate that the new updates to the game have made gamers and investors far less interested in it.
 
The number of active players had declined even further when the Axie team reported a Ronin bridge hack last March 30, 2022. This hack resulted in a loss of around $625 million in cryptocurrency. The exploit happened on March 23 but it was not discovered until March 30. This caused instability in the game. As a result, players shifted to other games, which was a major problem for the company, as they lost a large portion of their player base.
 
In response to falling token values and a declining player base, Axie Infinity is launching a number of upcoming major changes. These updates, set to take place later in 2022, include the development of the AXS ecosystem to incorporate governance and expanded play-to-earn rewards, as well as the mainstream release of Axie Infinity for iOS and Android smartphones. <a href="https://www.animocabrands.com/">Animoca Brands</a>, a Hong Kong-based blockchain company, has recently announced that it has acquired a majority stake in Tiny Tap, Ltd. The deal was worth US$38.875 million and gives Animoca 84.13% ownership of the mobile learning platform.

<a href="https://tinytap.com">TinyTap</a> is a user-generated content (UGC) platform with millions of users and over hundreds of educational games and content. With the TinyTap acquisition, Animoca looks to expand its reach into the educational technology sector and family entertainment market. The company also gains access to TinyTap's massive library of content and its impressive team of developers and educators.
 
“Educators number among the most prolific creators and traders of content," said Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands.
 
On the press release, Siu went on to say:
