Fractal, a Web3 gaming platform developed by Twitch co-founder Justin Kan, is expanding into the <a href="https://tingbits.com/chain/polygon"> Polygon </a>network. Fractal said that expanding into Polygon's gaming ecosystem will help it speed up user acquisition.
 According to the <a href="https://venturebeat.com/games/fractal-takes-nft-platform-to-polygon-and-raises-funding">press release</a>, Fractal will offer its product suite, F Studio. It includes a launchpad, marketplace, tournaments, developer SDK, game launcher, and Sign-in with Fractal service. The F Studio will be available to up to 30 top blockchain games on Polygon. These games include <a href="https://tingbits.com/game/champions-ascension">Champions Ascension</a>, <a href="https://tingbits.com/game/phantom-galaxies">Phantom Galaxies</a>, <a href="https://tingbits.com/game/sunflower-land">Sunflower Land</a>, <a href="https://tingbits.com/game/blast-royale">Blast Royale</a>, <a href="https://tingbits.com/game/life-beyond">Life Beyond</a>, <a href="https://tingbits.com/game/league-of-kingdoms">League of Kingdoms</a>, and more.
 Polygon Ventures will also make an undisclosed "strategic investment" in Fractal. The funds will help Fractal expand its services. Polygon and Fractal will also launch a campaign of tournaments and game-centric activations. The campaign will lead up to the Game Developer Conference in March.
 Furthermore, <a href="https://web.fractal.id">Fractal </a>will enjoy Polygon's zero-knowledge-based scalability (launched last year). The company believes using a blockchain platform like this is essential for building big projects for Web3 users.
 Twitch co-founder Justin Kan <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/justinkan">founded</a> Fractal in 2021. Blockchain game developers are looking to leverage in-game marketplace APIs, fiat-on-ramp, and NFT minting on demand. Fractal has become one of the leading Web3 gaming platforms as a result.
 Robin Chan, Co-Founder of Fractal, commented on the partnership and stated that Fractal's mission is to support Web3 game developers in building the future of gaming. They aim to provide everything from user acquisition to blockchain tooling to financial infrastructure so developers can focus on creating successful games. They hope to bring this future even closer by partnering with <a href="https://polygon.technology">Polygon Labs</a>.

Yield Guild Games Partners With Elixir Game Launcher

The game development studio, cinema production, and publisher, Aether Games Inc., announced on December 7 that they would release free chat wheel emoticon non-fungible tokens (NFTs) for their game franchise, <a href="https://tingbits.com/game/cards-of-ethernity/">Cards of Ethernity</a> (CoE), on December 22.

Cards of Ethernity (CoE) is a blockchain-based play-and-earn digital collectible competitive card game. It is set in the dark fantasy Aether metaverse full of mythical creatures such as dragons, trolls, fairies, beasts, demons, and elementals. It is the first game in its metaverse to enable Non-Fungible Token (NFT) Emotes coming from all of the studio's franchises, but with perfect compatibility for COE and the others once completely enabled across its entire platform.

Every NFT Emote design comes with 100 exclusive copies per batch. This means that the given NFT Emotes can never be minted again, making the one-day event among the rarest opportunities to get the said NFTs for free. However, Aether Games Inc. stated in their <a href="https://coe.gg/emotes-nft-utility/">blog</a> that they would reward the most active and supportive partner communities with more customized Emotes by completing specialized quests in the future.

“In Cards of Ethernity, players are able to use Emotes as in-game reactions to pun, shame or compliment the other opponent’s behavior,” Aether Games shared. “Just like other products of Aether Games Inc., Emote NFTs are both collectible, tradable, and playable items. Acquiring these assets first-hand is definitely a decent effort,” they added.

The game will be available for early access in Europe. Although no specific release date has been set, Aether anticipates that the testing period will last between two and four months. This project was created to prepare the game's free-to-play features, from onboarding to addressing user feedback. Furthermore, this stage allows the developer to monitor and assess the populations of their servers, with matchmaking queue times and server ping being two of their top priorities.
